ANSYS offers several tools for structural mechanics, explicit dynamics, fluid dynamics and thermal simulation capabilities. These tools also include ANSYS Workbench and CAD import tools. Solid modelling and meshing (ICEMCFD). Most of the solver applications can be run on the HPC clusters.
Ansys Electromagnetics
Ansys Electromagnetics includes tools for simulating high-frequency, signal integrity, RF, microwave, millimeter-wave device and other electronic engineering simulation capabilities. EMIT HFSS Maxwell Savant SI Wave
Abaqus
Abaqus is part of the SIMULIA suite of tools from 3DS. Abaqus can be used to perform a variety of analyses in solid and structural mechanics as well as some types of fluid dynamics. Abaqus is available on the HPC Clusters. A sample sbatch script for an Abaqus job is shown below. This sample job […]

Summary of HPC Resources Available for Engineers
The College of Engineering does not manage its own high performance computing infrastructure. Instead, we work with central HPC services at ISU to ensure that tools and resources needed by Engineering researchers and students are available on the HPC infrastructure. There are 3 main HPC clusters on campus: Condo – This is the most recent […]
